PSD expectations for remote learning in all schools:

The district’s focus is to have all students participate in in-person learning at schools as much as possible. However, some students may miss being in school because of illness, quarantine, an emergency or other circumstances. PSD wants to ensure students can continue learning remotely when they can't be at school regardless of the reason for the absence. Teachers and staff will do their best to support students who are learning online.

More information is available on the PSD Remote Learning web page. There you will find expectations, information about Teacher Learning pages, and additional technology resources.

Here is what you can expect from our school for supports during absences related to quarantine or isolation protocols:

  • Your child’s teacher will contact you within one to two school days to inform you about how your child can access asynchronous schoolwork. Some teachers may have packets for you to pick up in our front office, and some may have online assignments in platforms like Google Classroom or SeeSaw. You can reach out to your child’s teacher via email with questions you may have related to at-home learning.
    • All teachers have a learning page linked here that contains extra learning opportunities.
  • If your child needs a laptop to access learning during quarantine or isolation, please notify your child’s teacher via email so we can arrange for a technology check-out and pick-up.
    • If you need support with internet access, please notify the classroom teacher so we can get a MiFi device checked out to your child that will be checked back in with the technology device at the end of the quarantine or isolation period.
  • PSD also continues to provide technical support and internet access for those who need it.
  • Breakfast and lunch can be made available for pick-up during quarantine or isolation, and if your child needs meals, please contact our front office at 970-488-6825.
    • Orders for meals need to be placed by 8 AM to be able to pick it up for that day.
    • Meal pick-up will be between 10:00-10:15 AM by ringing the bell at the main entrance, and the meals will be brought out to you.
    • Meal pick-up is one day at a time, and at that pick-up, you will be given a cold lunch for that day along with a cold breakfast for the next day for your student.
