Now in my seventeenth year in Poudre School District, I still look forward to what each day brings in the world of education. I moved to Fort Collins from Steamboat Springs, Colorado and completed my Bachelor and Masters’ degrees at Colorado State University. While working on my master’s degree, I taught freshmen Composition at CSU. Upon completion of my degree, I taught English Language Arts at Boltz Middle School mid-year as a long-term substitute. I spent the following school year at Lesher teaching English Language Arts before putting down roots at Kinard Middle School. For the next nine years, I worked at Kinard as an English teacher, a Media Specialist, and, finally, as the Dean of Students. After Kinard, I spent four years as the assistant principal of Lesher Middle School. Last year I knew it was time to make the move to elementary in order to fulfill my long-term goals, and I'm so happy to be starting my second year as Timnath's assistant principal!
Our family has lived and worked in our vibrant community for twenty-one years; My husband Joe and I are the proud parents of two daughters, Morgan and Thea. For fun, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, laughing, playing outdoor games, knitting, cooking, baking GF treats, planning parties, reading, kayaking, and organizing closets. I am beyond excited to be on the Timnath team, and I look forward to the upcoming year!

I do what I do every day because it truly bring me joy. Every day is an opportunity to experience something new. I get to serve the little people who impact our future. I get to connect with others on a daily basis. I get to be part of a strong team. I get to learn alongside of a child. I get to collaborate with amazing adults. I get to be silly and playful at work. I get to figure out what works best in the classrooms and share that with others to make us better. I get to be part of a community that knows the value and impact of what we do each day. Working in schools is one of the best jobs out there!
