The 2019-2020 school year marks my second year at Timnath Elementary as well as my second year in the role of principal. Prior to joining Timnath Elementary, I taught 4th grade at Kruse Elementary for seven years and was the assistant principal at Kruse for five years.
I was born and raised in Fort Collins and attended schools up through the Fort Collins High School feeder system. I received my undergraduate degree from CSU in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. During my senior year, I decided my true passion was education instead of medicine, so I went to UNC to earn my teaching license and master's degree in Elementary Education. During my seventh year of teaching, I completed my principal license at CSU.
I am married to a Fort Collins native who attended Rocky Mountain High School, and we have a son in 7th grade and a daughter in 5th grade.
I am grateful to be part of the tight-knit community of Timnath Elementary to contribute to the charge of ensuring every child makes as much growth as possible academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally within a positive, welcoming school culture.
