Counseling

Counselor Corner

Our school counselor, Nicki Stalker, supports students through individual and small-group meetings to support the development of social skills, emotional regulation, friendship building, and to support other social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Mrs. Stalker also connects students and families with a variety resources, utilizing many community partners.

Our classroom teachers use the Second Step curriculum for social-emotional learning lessons. They also incorporate community-building circles and restorative conversations in the classroom.

*We encourage all students to Recognize, Refuse, and Report bullying.  The most efficient and effective way to address bullying is to let school staff know as soon as possible.  Another method is Safe2Tell, a Colorado Department of Education initiative that is an on-line method of reporting bullying.  Safe2Tell may be accessed at www.Safe2Tell.org.
